MOULD / AIR QUALITY / RADON TESTING
Committed to your Health
THERMAL IMAGING
Helping to spot the unseen such as possible moisture intrusion, low or missing insulation, electrical system overheating and possible issues with the homes thermal break.
MOISTURE METER TESTING
Non-Destructive moisture meters are a home inspectors best friend, allowing us to check for moisture in high water areas such as bathrooms and kitchens or to pinpoint possible water intrusion into the basement, through the roof or around windows or doors.
RECALL CHEK
When Recall Chek came out I think all inspectors knew it was going to be an amazing. To have a reliable tool that helps you quickly check for any recalls on your major appliances has been a true blessing.
MOULD AND ASBESTOS TESTING
Two of the most prominent buzz words in the home inspection industry! And yes we have you covered, not only do we inspect for mould and asbetsos, but if found, we can take samples for testing at your request.
AIR QUALITY TESTING
It's the air you breath... It doesn't get more important then that. We can help give you piece of mind that the air quality in your home is going to be as healthy as possible.
RADON TESTING
Radon gas awareness is a hot topic and being one of the leading causes of lung cancer, there's no wonder why! With our 3 day snap shot test or our 90 day test you can be sure that your house is safe for you and your family.
3RD PARTY BOOKINGS
We are not WETT certified, don't have the equipment to suck out septic tanks or cameras to check sewer lines. However we've been doing this long enough that we have acquired connections with industry leading companies in central Alberta's construction industry and would be happy to line up any services for you that are beyond the scope of our inspection services.
COMMON QUESTIONS
You’ve Got Questions - We’ve Got Answers
WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH A FULL HOUSE INSPECTION?
Our typical inspections start on the exterior of the home, where we'll visually inspected the landscape grading, building envelope, windows, flashing and roofing system. Inside we'll inspected the electrical panel and all visible wiring and test all accessible receptacles and light fixtures, we'll inspect the HVAC and plumbing systems, we'll inspect the attic space, any infloor heating and finally the operational status and condition of all the appliances, cabinets, windows, doors and plumbing fixtures as well as any damages to the properties flooring, walls and ceilings.
WHAT TOOLS DO YOU USE DURING YOUR INSPECTION?
We'll be using a number of tools to assist us in the inspection of your home, among the most common tools are Non-destructive Moisture meters, Thermal Imaging camera, a 3rd party Recall Check on appliances, CO detectors and at your request more specialized tools including Indoor air quality, mould, asbestos and Radon testing equipment.
HOW DO I RECEIVE MY REPORT AND AM I ABLE TO ATTEND THE INSPECTION?
We use Carson Dunlop's Horizon inspection software to produce one of the most comprehensive reports in the industry. As for attendance we encourage you to come for the last half hour of the inspection to review the report contents with the inspector, where he can answer any questions you may have and show you any areas of concern within the home.  We've found that the best way to insure you have the knowledge to make an informed decision is to see any issues in person with an on-site explanation combined with the report you will receive.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PROPERTY IN THE FUTURE?
We not only encourage you but would appreciate the opportunity to answer any questions you may have. We can provide recommendations for other services that you may need to maintain your property.
